COVID-19 Updates

This is an update on coronavirus (COVID-19) from Condian Hotels (GIANNOULAKIS G. & A. S.A) that owns and manages the following four hotels in Hersonisos of Crete, Greece: Asterias Village Resort, Sergios, Central Hersonissos and Iro.

In the 42 years of operation of GIANNOULAKIS G. & A. S.A., our priority is the safety and protection of our Guests, Employees and Collaborators.
In the context of development regarding COVID-19 pandemic, and as per Instructions of the National Public Health Organization, we have developed a Crisis Management Plan, which aims to limit COVID-19 spread, as well as to protect our Guests, Employees and Collaborators.

More specifically:

  1. Health and Safety measures
    1. We are committed to complying with Prevention and Protection Instructions, according to the National Public Health Organization (E.O.D.Y.), the General Secretariat for Civil Protection (G.S.C.P.) and the World Health Organization (W.H.O.)
    2. We provide our Personnel with continuous information and training for the safety of our Guests, Employees and Collaborators
    3. We follow our Guests’ continuous information strategy for the prevention and protection against COVID-19, giving to all our Guests written Prevention and Protection Instructions
    4. We establish specific procedures for regular cleaning and disinfection of rooms and common areas. We use only certified cleaning products and disinfectants, effective against COVID-19

More specifically:

  1. Guest Rooms
  • We establish a special cleaning and disinfection protocol, paying attention to regularly – touched objects and surfaces
    1. Common Areas, Swimming Pools, Kid’s Club
      • We place hand sanitizers in prominent places, in all our facilities
      • We increase the frequency of cleaning, paying attention to shared toilet, the reception area and our Kid’s Club
      • We increase the cleaning frequencies, as well as the tests chemical and microbiological analysis, according to the greek legislation for the swimming pools
  • Restaurants and Bars (Food and Beverage Departments)
    • We increase the tests for chemical and microbiological analysis, for the hygiene and safety of food, according to H.A.C.C.P. procedures for our Food and Beverage Departments
  1. Employees’ Offices
  • We increase the cleaning frequencies of our employees’ offices, paying attention to paying attention to regularly – touched objects and surfaces

 

  1. We have developed an Action Plan, in case of any suspected coronavirus incident in our establishments, according to the National Public Health Organization’s Protocol (E.O.D.Y.)

 

  1. Cancellation Policies

We are constantly adjusting our booking policies in order to comply with the latest updates related to COVID-19, as well as any official travel restrictions or any protection measures announced by governments around the world. Our goal is to offer as much flexibility and comfort as possible in the travel plans.

In detail:

  1. Direct – Individual Reservations – Magic Key Loyalty Program

(Bookings made directly with the hotel, from our websites, by phone or email)

  1. Existing and new bookings with arrival date until 15/06/2020
  • Free modification of the reservation in a similar or different period in 2020
  • Possibility to transfer the reservation for summer 2021
  • Refund for all types of reservations or price lists (non-refundable, flexible, package etc) in case of cancellation

 

It is valid up to 24 hours before arrival with the requirement that the modification or cancellation to be requested until June 15, 2020.

 

Note: That amendment to an existing reservation will depend on availability and any price differences.

 

For reservations with flexible rates and arrival date from 16/06/2020, there is the possibility of seven (7) days before arrival to cancel or modify without charges to apply.

 

  1. Group Reservations (leisure, business, events & meetings)

(Bookings made directly with the hotel, from our websites, by phone or email)

  1. Existing and new Group reservations with arrival date until 15/06/2020
    • Free modification of the reservation in a similar or different period in 2020
    • Possibility to transfer the reservation for summer 2021
    • Refund in case of cancellation

 

Please note that amendments to an existing reservation will depend on availability and any price differences.

The agreed cancellation policy applies to Group reservations with arrival date of 16/06/2020.

For reservations made through Online Travel Agents (OTAs) or Travel Agencies, or Tour Operators, please contact the booking provider for information about their policies.

Note:

The Greek Tourism Ministry has announced a new hotline that will provide answers for coronavirus (COVID-19) concerns of consumers, tourists, businessmen and tourism workers.

The line will operate from 8am to 4pm, Monday through Friday and can be reached by dialing 1572.

The hotline is administered by a special team of the tourism ministry who will record and answers questions on issues concerning COVID-19.

The ministry aims to provide continuous information and support to the tourism market and also offer visiting tourists information on issues that may arise during their stay in Greece.
